What is BERT?

It’s important to understand that an entity does not need to be a physical object, it can also be a color hue, a date, a fragrance, and more. An entity is anything that is: Singular. It can also be any combination of these to aid how Google crawls and indexes a site.

An Entity does not belong to a parent node; rather, its descendants are read-only. The name of an Entity is held in the nodeName property. In addition, an Entity is a Node object, and therefore inherits some properties and methods from it.

A more recent Google patent was granted November 19, 2019, is more directly about the Google Assistant.
